Covergirl has done it again!
You already know that a Covergirl foundation has been my Holy Grail product for a while. I have been using the OUTLAST STAY FABULOUS 3-IN-1 FOUNDATION for over a year now and have nothing but great things to say about it…or maybe I would just hate on one thing: the packaging. I have noticed that a lot of foundation stays trapped at the bottom of the bottle and I always end up wasting a bunch of it when I can no longer get it out with the pump (nor will it come out if I turn the bottle upside down to try and transfer it to another bottle…) But I have never been too annoyed by that because it already is a cheap foundation (13.99$ for 30 mL) and a little goes a long way so I feel like I get my money’s worth anyway.
I was curious to try the Ready Set Gorgeous Foundation when it hit the shelves though because it doesn’t come in a glass bottle with a pump, like most foundations, but in a soft plastic flat tube. Plus, the day I saw it at Shoppers Drugmart it was reduced to 5.99$ from its usual (already cheap) 8.99$ price. As it had the same shade I use for the Outlast Foundation (320, Soft Sable) I decided to try it out.
My only regret now is: why did I not purchase 5 or 6 bottles right then and there? This foundation is all that and a bag of chips.
It spreads easily and evenly, gives you medium, buildable coverage, does not emphasize my pores, dries out matte, gives a natural finish, lasts all day long and…and is hella cheap. I mean 8.99$? On a very good day you can even get it for 5.99$…what else could you ask for? Well…yes…I could ask for availability. Unfortunately the darkest shade is 320 and it is not available everywhere in Montreal. Some stores carry it but most don’t. And that’s annoying. But other than than, I highly recommend it for anyone with oily skin. As much as I recommended Outlast Stay Fabulous. I feel like they are absolutely equivalent. The Ready Set Gorgeous line also offers a concealer and a powder which I will definitely try and review in a next post. Stay tuned for that.
