I recently received products from Avon’s Enchanted Spring Collection. Spring will be purple according to Avon and I am not mad at’em because I do love purple on my eyes, on my nails and, now, on my lips too. I received the Perplexed Purple, Apricot Mystery and Purple Hazed Ultra Color Rich Lipsticks as well as new shades of Nailwear Pro Nail Enamel: Perplexed Purple, Nude & Infused, and, finally the Mystery Eyeshadow Quad.
I have to say that I really like this line.
About the Ultra Color Rich Lipsticks
They are creamy, moisturizing and I love, love, love Purple Hazed. I never got near a purple lipstick but I have to say that this shade seems to work pretty well for me, my dark lips and complexion. More so than the Apricot Mystery that is a little bit too fair for my very pigmented lips. But it does work if I apply it on the justify of my lips only with a medium-brown liner and a peachy-pink gloss. It takes work, but I can pull it off.
About the Nailwear Pro Nail Enamel
Many ladies and nail technicians love the Nailwear Pros and I understand why. Very easy to apply, two coats do the charm and you get long lasting results. With a coat of Seche Vite on top, I went for a full 5 days with no chips, and this is, my friends, no small feat.
About the True Color Mystery Eyeshadow Quad
Pretty light colors. It comes with instructions on how to apply it (which I did not use) and although I liked the colors and the final results I felt like I really had to pack it on for the colors to really show on my dark skin.
Now the claim is that these eyeshadows stay true to color for up to 12 hours and I can attest to that but in my case, they had been helped by the ELF Eyelid Primer and a coat of Mac Paint Pot in Groudnwork.
All in all, they are so inexpensive that I would get some more, and I would have to try a couple darker colors to see if the color payoff is any better before I pass any definitive judgement.
