Nicole by OPI will release four new shades in 2013; one of which I received: Still Into Pink.
I have not used Nicole by OPI a lot in the past but I was very eager to try this color as soon as I got it since it’s such a loud and fun shade of pink.
There are so many shades available out there. So many brands. So many formulas. So many finishes. I did not review many nail lacquers in the past year since I started this blog but I now notice so many difference between formulas and brands that I vowed to do more nail polish reviews in the future.
Nicole by OPI’s Still Into Pink is a cream shade with a tiny little bit of shimmer . The formula allowed for a very easy streak free application as it was not as thick as other cream shades I have tried before. The brush is wide and flat which I loved: it makes the application so quick and easy. I applied two coats which were surprisingly dry in no time. The wear was good. It stayed on for a solid 3 days before starting to wear at the tips which is standard for me. As you’ll be able to see from the pictures below, the color is a loud and vibrant hot pink that really will make heads turn.
Now for the cons. The finish. It has a rubber like finish that I really did not like. It is definitely not shiny, definitely not matte, but somewhat in the middle with a peculiar rubber like finish that I did not like at all. So this is a shade you definitely want to wear with a shiny top coat.
Nicole by OPI is available in drugstores like Shoppers Drugmart and Jean Coutu. Still Into Pink is available on stores now and is not a limited edition shade. It will set you back about 11 CAD$. Have you tried it? Liked it? Not? Let me know
