As you know, I have embarked on a new mission: stop ignoring my hair. I usually put it in braids and forget about it. I take care of my scalp, which has always been the principal source of my focus because of my issues with Seborrheic Dermatitis, and forget about my hair entirely. I got senegalese twists at the beginning of December and, eager to keep my hair moisturized, I started looking for a product to do just that. So I was walking through Shoppers Drugmart’s hair aisle and saw the Live Clean Exotic Nectar Argan Oil Leave In Spray on sale for about 4.99$.
I checked out the ingredients list and was quite reassured by the use of certified organic botanicals, no petroleum, no parabens, no pthalates, no phosphates.
Here’s what it is supposed to do according to Live Clean: Leave-In Conditioner Spray with certified Organic grape seed and olive oils is a weightless leave-in treatment that seals in moisture to provide enhanced long-term conditioning, shine and UV protection.
The product comes in a clear plastic spray bottle. Before spraying it to your hair, wet or dry, you need to shake the bottle as it seems to be an oil/water emulsion that separates when it sets.
It’s a lightweight spray that does not leave my hair feeling greasy; it smells heavenly (I smell vanilla essentially) and after removing a few of my braids to redo the front a few days ago I have noticed that my hair was smooth and felt moisturized.
I’ve used it every other day on my hair, spraying it directly on the braids(only on the length of my hair) and I did not notice any build up.
I will definitely keep using it after I remove my braids. I like the fact that it combines water-based moisturizer and oil to seal in the moisture in one step.
