I got this one out of curiosity. I have never been a fan of cream blushes. The only blush that could ever come close to me is your good old powder blush, nothing fancy. A few months ago you wouldn’t have caught me with a shimmery blush…what a difference a few months make.
So when the e.l.f. HD blushes came out I was curious, and the teeny weeny price tag of 3$ made my decision even easier. But, since I am still a cautious girl, I just picked up 1 shade…I would have picked up 2 shades but the other one I wanted (the dark burgundy Showstopper) was unfortunately out of stock on the website at the time.
What e.l.f. says about the HD Blush
Rich and creamy HD Blush naturally sculpts and highlights the cheekbones for a soft-focus effect that is great for everyday use. The Vitamin E enriched formula conditions and hydrates the skin for a healthy, radiant glow. Velvety soft, lightweight and highly pigmented color creates a long-lasting result for all day wear.
The shade I got, Diva, is a very bright fuchsia. The pump of the HD blush allows you to get a tiny little bit of product out and honestly, that’s all you need. See in the picture below.
These blushes are highly pigmented. The best way to go about applying this blush is, in my opinion, to apply a tiny bit on the back of your hand, spread it out, then pick it up with a blush brush or a stippling brush then blend it onto your cheek. During this process you wanna do it all with a light touch and take your time. 1. Because the blush is super mega pigmented 2. Because you don’t want to mess up your foundation underneath.
I honestly like this product a lot. I mean for 3$ I feel like they perform extraordinarily well. Plus you you need so little of this product that I feel like I’m gonna have this bottle for a year at least.
The blush itself stays on for quite a while, the whole day I would say. But it does start fading a bit after the fifth hour or so.
I will definitely be purchasing other shades. Let me know what you think!
