I can’t help but have a positive bias towards natural products. I still want them to be effective of course, but really, with all the chemicals, weird waves (mircrowaves, phones etc.) and aaaaalll the million of things that can supposedly make us sick, I love the idea that my cosmetics can actually not be detrimental to my health in any way.
With that being said, I can have a positive bias and all but I will tell you the truth about this product and if, yes or no, it is a good cleanser for acne-prone skin :p <

I am a longtime user of Avene Cleanance Soap-free Facial Gel Cleanser and still am content with the way it works for me. I have used Burt’s Bees Anti-Blemish Purifying Gel Cleanser during my month long vacation in Senegal and it was during a pretty stressful time in my life (even though I was on vacation) because I was preparing a pretty important family event. So it could have been a time for breakouts and other skin issues but it really wasn’t. Although I did get a couple of fat and ugly pimples during the last month, they weren’t unusual and I felt like my skin was in a pretty decent state.
The Burt’s Bees cleanser is quite watery and did not lather as much as I would have wanted it to but it still succeeded in removing most of my foundation. It has a nice and fresh citrus scent and it left my face feeling soft and clean without stripping it away from all of its oils (meaning that my skin did not feel tight at all after use). I did feel the need to use a make up remover before washing my skin just to make sure all of my makeup was removed but I also, sometimes, simply washed my face twice with the Burt’s Bees Anti-Blemish Purifying Gel Cleanser and was then ready to go.
Did I feel like this cleanser reduced my blemishes? I used it for one month and I wouldn’t say that it has reduced my outbreaks but I didn’t get more than usual and my skin overall felt very good while I was using it. So I definitely think I will buy this in the future, and I do recommend it to you as well if you are looking for a nice and simple cleanser.
