Doing my nails usually takes me around five minutes.
It’s pretty straightforward, I remove the previous polish, file my nails, wash my hands, apply my base coast, two coats of color, one coat of Sèche Vite and I am done. 5 to 10 minutes top, in and out.
I do my nail every 4 to 5 days and it’s a routine that I enjoy. Ever since I decided to stop paying for manicures at the salon I have adopted this routine that works very well for me.
By getting back to joys of self-manicuring I have had to rediscover the joys of buying nail polish as well and I discovered that I had never developed an attachment to any brand. I have OPI, China Glaze, Sally Hansen, Nicole by OPI, Revlon and other random brands and I never automatically go back to a specific brand.
But recently, I have to say that I am really liking Avon’s Nailwear Pro+ Nail Enamel. While my favorite of their nail polishes is, hands down, Speed Dry – because it does just that (dry quickly) – I have to says that I love the colors and ease of application with the Nailwear Pro+ and, the price is just too good: 6.99$
Plus, after 5 days I see no chips, just a little bit of wear at the edge of the nail but nothing significant. Also, the first coat is almost completely opaque and dry time is quite quick.
Their new formula is supposed to increase nail strenght by 80% which is pretty useful and is free of formaldehyde, toluene or phthalates.
Have you ever tried Avon Nail Polishes? Well, if you haven’t and would like to, you’re in luck! The second giveaway of the week. I have a collection of Mini Nailwear Pro, they usually retail for 1.99$ but allow you to try a color without getting the full size bottle. Great for experimenting or for seasonal shades. Want’em?
